Hi everyone, today I will show you the different ways we use the word bloody in British English.
First of all, bloody can be used in positive or negative sentences to show a level of extremity, or simply to show frustration.
First,I’ll show you the positive.
“I went to see the new Star Wars film the other day, it was bloody good.”
“I really like the new Manchester United forward, he’s a bloody good player.”
Next I’ll show you the negative.
“I’m not going to that restaurant again, it’s way too bloody expensive.”
“It’s too bloody hot to do anything today, I’m not going out.”
Finally, we use it combined with hell to to show frustration.
For example, say you have just bought a new shirt but you accidentally spill red wine on it, the appropriate thing to say would be…
“Bloody hell!”

皆さまこんにちは。今日は「bloody」の使い方についてご紹介いたします。
まず始めに、bloodyは良い事と悪い事両方に使えます。もしくは罵る時にも使います。
始めにいい意味で使うとこうなります。
“I went to see the new Star Wars film the other day, it was bloody good.”
「スターウォーズの映画を観に行ったんだ。スッゲー良かったよ。」
“I really like the new Manchester United forward, he’s a bloody good player.”
「私マンチェスターユナイテッドのフォワードの選手が好きなの！彼は本当に最高の選手よ。」
次はネガティブな表現です。
I’m not going to that restaurant again, it’s way too bloody expensive.”
「もうあのレストランには行かないッ！めっちゃ高いんだもん！」
“It’s too bloody hot to do anything today, I’m not going out.”
「今日は何をするにも暑すぎるから出かけないょ。」
最後にhellと組み合わせて使うこともできます。
例えば、新しいシャツを買ったばかりで、赤ワインをこぼした時にこう言います。。。
“Bloody hell!”
「やっちゃった！」
