Hi there everyone. In today’s travel English we will introduce you to the names of some of the different sections of a supermarket and show you how to ask for things you can’t find. I remember being completely lost trying to do this when I first came here so hopefully this will help you out.

First, the different aisles.

dairy

canned goods

chilled goods

frozen foods

toiletries

household goods

fruit and veg

the deli counter

the fish counter

dried foods

alcohol

That’s it for the aisles. Next when you want to ask for something remember to use the , we always use the when we are talking about a specific thing or things.

For example…

“Excuse me where will I find the milk?”

“It’s in the dairy aisle over here.”

“Excuse me, where will I find the oranges?”

“They are in the fruit and veg section over there”

通路に関してはこんな感じです。次に、何か尋ねたいときはtheを使うことを覚えておいてください。特定のものについて話すときはいつもtheを使います。
